Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance · Lehigh Valley, PA

No MFA on the owner’s account. A former employee who can still sign in. Both are common. Neither is fine.

Microsoft 365 does almost everything a small business needs — once someone configures it properly. That's my promise to the businesses and practices I work with across Lehigh and Northampton counties: the security and compliance settings configured correctly, and kept that way. Independent, owner-operated, and in practice since 1998.

Work is delivered remotely, so I also take white-label Microsoft 365 project work from other MSPs nationwide.

Jeff is not only highly skilled, trusted, and responsive, but he watches out for his clients with diligence and care. He was instrumental in helping to upgrade our Privacy and Security to 100% compliance and his support was incredibly helpful! I highly recommend him for any IT needs!

Microsoft 365 Security & Licensing Consultation

A guided look through your Microsoft 365 tenant. You get a written findings report with a scored security posture and a licensing waste analysis.

  • No obligation — the report is yours either way.
  • No sales pitch — the findings stand on their own.
  • No changes are made to your tenant.

What I actually do

Five kinds of work, all of it inside Microsoft 365. If a problem lives somewhere else, I will tell you so.

Microsoft 365 Security Hardening

Close the gaps that come standard with a Microsoft 365 tenant nobody has configured.

Compliance Readiness

Evidence and configuration for the questions auditors, clients, and insurers ask.

Migrations & Tenant Work

Moves, merges, and cleanups handled outside your working hours.

AI & Workflow Automation

Copilot and Power Automate put to work — in the right order.

Ongoing Management

Someone who keeps watching the tenant after the project is finished.

Who this is for

A narrow practice is more useful than a broad one. Here is where I am genuinely the right call — and where I am not.

A good fit

  • You run 5–25 people on Microsoft 365.
  • Your business is cloud-only — no server in a closet.
  • Someone outside your business is asking about your security posture.
  • You want the work done after hours, not during your business day.

Not a fit

  • You run on-premises servers that need hands-on maintenance.
  • You are past about 25 users and need a full help-desk team.
  • You need on-site technicians for retail, restaurant, or shop-floor systems.

Two examples have pages of their own: healthcare administration and small law firms.

How the work is delivered

One senior person

You work directly with the person doing the configuration. Nothing is handed to a junior tier or a rotating queue.

After hours by default

Tenant changes and migrations are scheduled outside your working day, so a security project does not cost you a working one.

Remote, no truck roll

Everything here is administrative work inside Microsoft 365. It does not require anyone standing in your office.

In practice since 1998

More than 25 years of enterprise IT experience, applied to organizations small enough that the owner still makes the call.

Working with Jeff Lanni professionally has been a very positive experience. It's something I'd recommend for any of my professional connections and/or for new business opportunities. Jeff is someone who thinks outside the box, he's forward thinking and always looking for ways to improve whatever he's working on professionally. His way of thinking affects the bottom line of business but keeps the personalized people approach. Jeff also holds a strong work ethic and is just a great person to know and have on your team or leading your company as he is dedicated to his work and the success of others. Anyone who is lucky enough to cross paths with Jeff will see his unique style and positive energy which is contagious when working with him. I recommend Jeff for any business opportunity he explores or leads now or in the future and upward mobility without hesitation.

While at GE, I worked with Jeff Lanni quite a few times as he was rolling out major projects to GE sub-businesses I supported. Given the scale of GE and the number of users his project involved, he was able to accomplish a lot with just a few people. He is adept at simplifying complex initiatives, creating and leveraging processes to minimize or eliminate resources needed for implementation and is quick to pivot / improve as new use cases appear. His knowledge, willingness to mentor and teach others and calm, thoughtful demeanor enabled him to run major projects that involved thousands of users yet were executed with no downtime and no user intervention.

Jeff and I worked together at GE Capital, CEF, and during that time, Jeff was such a pleasure to work with. He was responsive, particularly with sensitive HR employee relations investigations, and his expertise in IT was excellent. Jeff has a way of making the complex simple to understand for people outside IT. I would recommend Jeff for all IT needs.

A written report and a clear picture of where your tenant stands. Nothing changes unless you decide it should.
